PCB Carolina 2018 will be offering an extended Hands-On Soldering Workshop In accordance with IPC  J-STD-001,

IPC-610 and IPC-7711


There will be a two workshops (same content in each).

Choose the one that best fits your schedule.

Morning Workshop Session 9:30 - 12:00

Afternoon Workshop Session 2:00 - 4:30


In each workshop, there will be 3 Modules:

Module 1 Basics of soldering covers solder, flux, solder pastes, reflow temperatures, rheology, component ID, ESD, MSL, solder tip care and familiarization with J-STD-001.

Module 2 SMT / TH soldering and Assembly covers surface mount soldering, through hole soldering, and familiarization with IPC-7711 / IPC-7721 rework standards.

Module 3 Inspection covers inspection to class 1, class 2, class 3 and familiarization to IPC-610 acceptability of electronic assemblies.

Instructor: Angel Deluna
Angel Deluna is an IPC Master Instructor with Circuit Technology Inc., a North Carolina Corporation.


Angel has 30 years of experience is the electronics industry in various capacities.  The last 10 years he has been training all over the world as an IPC Master Instructor.

These are the real deal workshops with all the tools and supplies you'll need:  soldering stations with various tips, fluxes, solders and pastes, tools, cleaners and solvents, and microscopes. What a great opportunity to learn from Certified IPC Trainers.  Get educated on how to properly solder, the dangers of ESD and moisture, and proper handling of electronic assemblies.
